- Fill out the online complaint form for the online platform. They all have complaint procedures in place, and with some very basic information and explanation, you can have infringing content removed fairly quickly.
- Hire a lawyer to send a cease and desist letter to the infringer, if appropriate.
You should also keep in mind that some uses of trademarks don’t count as infringement. If it’s being used for personal reasons, or if it is being used in a way unrelated to the brand, some platforms don’t consider this infringement. Be sure to look over each social media platform’s policy when identifying potential cases of infringement.
